From orchestras and brass bands to rock groups in both the US and Japan, music has always been the driving force.
After moving to Japan 16 years ago, Fattbeets established himself as a creator across various fields.
A pivotal moment came several years ago when “the Captain” introduced him to the psychedelic trance scene—an encounter that reshaped his musical journey forever.
Initially focused on disco, blending classic and modern sounds, the Fattbeets project evolved with the elimination of the separate psytrance-focused project “Djin.”
Now, Fattbeets plays what the dancefloor calls for—as long as it’s high-energy. Fattbeets
デトロイト・ロック・シティの中心で生まれ育ったFattbeetsは、ロックミュージックのエネルギーに囲まれながら、ピアノ、ブラス、ギターを習得。
オーケストラやブラスバンド、さらには日米のロックバンドで活動し、音楽は常に彼の原動力だった。
16年前に日本へ移住し、様々な分野でクリエイターとして活動。
数年前、「船長」からサイケデリックトランスシーン紹介された、それが音楽の道を大きく変える転機となる。
当初はディスコを中心に、クラシックとモダンなサウンドを融合させたスタイルだったが、サイケデリックトランスに特化した別プロジェクト「Djin」の終了に伴い、Fattbeetsはスタイルを固定せず、フロアが求める音をプレイするようになった。
ただし、常にハイエナジーであることは変わらない。
